Richard, Hebden Bridge - July 2017
We had a great weekend, thanks. Apart from enjoying a short walking holiday, it was also an experiment to get a taste of camper van life, before we take the plunge and buy one. And we're so glad we did. As complete camper van novices, there was a lot for us both to find out and get used to. But after your thorough explanation of what things were and how they worked we set off with much confidence. We stayed on two very different camp sites on the North Yorkshire Moors. The first was a touring park with lots of facilities, the second was on a farm site with very little. Gordon Granvia was a star throughout. Fantastic to drive, so comfortable and very well equipped. We wanted for nothing. We are so glad that we hired before we bought. And so glad that we hired from you. Our sincere thanks to you and all the team at KG for your advice and assistance. We have been much impressed by your friendly service and thorough professionalism. It has definitely helped us in our quest to buy a camper van.
Catherine, Bradford - July 2017
We really enjoyed our campervan, it was comfortable and very well equipped. It was really easy and enjoyable to drive and it was great to be able to see over the dry stone walls in the Yorkshire Dales. It was great that there was a full tank of fuel at the outset as it meant we didn’t have to fill up until we returned the van. The flexibility of being in a campervan was brilliant, drop the top and go, no wet tent to fold up! Would definitely recommend a campervan from KG, it was an altogether enjoyable experience, many thanks.

Sam, Sheffield - September 2016
We needed a campervan with 5 days notice for a weekend at Silverstone and I found KG Campervans online. We called and dealt with Kath who was superb. Within 30 minutes we had two compact but brilliant campers booked and confirmed with instructions that were clear, precise and simple. Kath was very down to accommodating and even stayed open late on both the pick up and drop off night so we could pick them up after a day of work and after the event which was so conveinient. The Campervans were ideal for our use and the service KG Campervans gave us were brilliant. I have already recommended them already and will use again. Thank you KG!

Myself, my wife, 5 year old son and labrador had an outstanding long weekend in KG's Ronald Granvia over the bank holiday. Kath made sure the van was absolutely perfect when I collected and had been very flexible allowing a collection the evening before we were due to hire, so we could get away early the next day. The van was very well equipped and ran like a dream. You could really just pack a couple of sleeping bags, pillows, your clothes and food and everything else is provided. There was all the plates, cups and cutlery, and washing up bits you might need. Kath packed us camp chairs and table, and we hired a gas bbq which was brilliant. Kath and Kev are very friendly to deal with, and will make sure you are 100% happy before sending you on your way. Kev talked me through the van controls which were all very straight forward. The Toyota Granvia is a brilliant practical and relaxed vehicle to use with it's automatic gearing and easy to work your way around when setting up for the night. Perfect for pitching, driving off for the day and then returning for the evening. We stayed at a brilliant site in Silverdale (North Lancs) called Gibralter Farm, which is also highly recommended - especially as a first campervan trip. This really was the perfect family weekend. Thanks Kath and Kev for everything!
Sharon, Rochdale - August 2016
Just want to say thank you for a fabulous birthday weekend for my 9 year old son in your beautiful campervan. The weekend started helpfully, with a thorough overview of the van and all of its features. Once on the campsite the camper had everything we needed and in all the right places, you had obviously put in a lot of effort and attention into ensuring your customers have everything they need for a really comfortable experience. Additionally, the awning was of really high quality and extremely useful.

Thank you for making Daniels weekend really special. Daniels contribution - I really really enjoyed my weekend in the campervan, I was surprised about how much space there was at the top to sleep in with my sister. Also I thought that the awning was a very reasonable size. I had the best birthday ever. Thank you KG.
The Pilkington family, sheffield - June 2016
We hired Raymond Regis for Glastonbury, the van is really well equipt, everything you need is in the van the written instructions are easy to follow should you need them. Raymond is easy to drive and park. We took the awning which gave us the extra space that we needed, it's easy to put up, we did it without a problem. Kath and Kevin are really helpful and just a phone call away. The only down side for us is that the roof space bedroom is a little snug for a teenager but kids will love it. The awning is spacious and gave us an extra bedroom for my daughter and her friend. My daughters friend camped with us and she loved Raymond as well. A big thank you to Kath and Kevin, we would definitely hire a camper an from you in the future.

Andy & Rose, Huddersfield - June 2016
We'd just like to say a big thank you to Kath and the team at KG. we have just got back from Glastonbury with Gordon who has been there before. It was a first for us but a great experience helped by the glamping part to have some escape from the mud. Prior to hiring, Kath gave us a run through of Gordon to help us plan what we needed to take or could leave behind. Nothing was too much trouble and the whole process or hire and return very smooth.
Thanks again
Karl, York - June 2016
We had a brilliant fun family time in the camper van everything was superb from meeting you at the beginning to going on our adventure you really had thought of all of the little things we might need like kitchen roll and washing up liquid to camping chairs absolutely fab.

We have fallen in love with campervaning and our now looking at buying our own one any contacts/websites that you know of for this would be gratefully received.

Richard and Sue, Wakefield - May 2016
Two early retirees trying out a campervan for the first time to see if they liked it enough to buy one and see the world (well Europe!). A 3 day hire and a trip to Northumberland together with dog and we loved it. We even cooked dinner on the second day. It all went completely without a hitch, Kath and team couldn't have been more helpful, the van was spotless and equipped with everything we needed and we enjoyed every minute.

Ode to Gordon
A second adventure was to be had, and oh we were so glad. For KG campervan hire we did aspire. To rent Gordon again, some might think we were insane! It was a Friday night and everything was all right. He drove like before, power galore! Down the M6, he went without a hitch. Landed at the Griffin Inn, we were welcomed in. The beers flowed so for the night we stayed off road. The Horse of the Year Show and NEC ,our next port of call, Overnight in the station car park was only a short haul. Our next stop, Worcester, was not as horsey but a little more saucey. The rock n roll bed stood us in good stead. Then a stay at Upton upon Severn, which in Gordon was Campervan Heaven. The final day, his leisure battery still strong, and nothing had gone wrong. So to finish our trip we went for some thrills through the Malvern Hills. Sadly took Gordon back ,there's nothing he lacks. Take our word, for a fun weekend away, To Kath and Kevin you'll say Hip Hip Hooray!
Kath Bretton and Naomi (age 10) - Huddersfield - September 2015
My daughter and I took Raymond Regius on his first trip to Ireland for a 10 day holiday in August. We had no set plans and wanted to do some "wild camping" so needed to be completely independent. Raymond gave us just that. He was powerful enough to sit well at 70mph on the motorways en route but small enough to manage the very narrow roads and so well equipped with modern space saving equipment we wanted for nothing. Kath has even managed to sneak in a small egg timer and poacher for the perfect breakfast! Naomi loved her pop-up bedroom "den" - and the swivel pilot chair. Kevin was on hand on the two occasions I needed help (me not listening to instructions!) and I found that very reassuring. They also ensured we had a satnav that covered Southern Ireland (though I only used it in Dublin it was an essential for me).

Hints and Tips - 1. We took an awning but to be honest because we only stayed more than one night at a site on one occasion, it wasn't used again and it is quite bulky and takes up space. I would recommend it though if there are more than 2/3 travellers and if you are staying at a site for several days. 2. Don't overpack or take things "just in case" (eg for us a rounders set (!), the laptop and too many books) 3. Assign yourselves specific jobs for setting up/packing down each day - makes it all flow smoothly when in moving on mode. 4. A place for everything and everything in it's place - we spent the first few days moving things several times when making beds until we got properly organised and found the perfect nook and cranny for evrything. 5. ENJOY! We loved our road trip in Raymond and would highly recommend it to anyone.

A massive thanks to Kath, Kevin and the team for all the help and advice both before and during the trip.

As first time campervanner's we were slightly apprehensive when picking up 'Gordon'. We were warmly met by Kath and Kevin who gave us the full run down on the many assets of Gordon and how to successfully survive our long weekend ahead. From the start it was a pleasure to drive Gordon , being an automatic,3 litres of power and easy to park anywhere. Once loaded up we set off on a foggy Friday night to the North Yorkshire Moors, map reading in the traditional way (no Sat Nav!). We stumbled across a 17th century coaching Inn and were made welcome by the locals who allowed us to stay on their land overnight as the fog was so severe. This was a true test of our first camping capabilities...the tip is set up the roof and bed before having a pint or two! A few hours later we slept soundly in our 'rock n roll' bed (perhaps it was the Sam Smiths!). We awoke to coffee and warm croissants prepared on the hob and set off to the lovely village of Helmsley where again Gordon parked up in a very busy area with ease. Our ventures took us onto quaint Staithes where we found we had to leave Gordon at the top of the village and walk down the cobbled streets where we discovered the Cod and Lobster on the seafront was an ideal place to eat. Later that evening we returned to Gordon for after dinner drinks with the luxury of the very efficient on board heating and music system.(a quick game of chess and route planning for our next day). Another home made breakfast set us up for the drive to Saltburn on Sea where we watched the surfers from the pier and took in the sea air, again no problems parking Gordon in the public car parks. Next Stokesley for a bit of shopping and Sunday lunch before heading on for our last night in Ripon. You can easily get washed and changed in Gordon ready for a night on the town.(as we did turning up in a very posh Italian looking like we were staying in a 5 star hotel). Over the 3 nights we never used a campsite and the water supply and leisure battery saw us through even the mini fridge was ample size for food and drinks. We were pretty sad to take Gordon home and will definitely book him again for a weekend away, this trip was mid November and we can only think that having such a fantastic time would be even better in the summer months. We would like to thank Kath and Kevin for the friendly service, the useful information pack on board and the opportunity to experience campervaning.

We can highly recommend kg campervan hire. The service they provided was first class and nothing was too much trouble. As we were total novices to all things camping we did have a few questions and queries over our weekend and there was always someone available to help us!! There was plenty of space for us and our two girls, especially with the awning attached (which we soon got the hand of erecting). You really had thought of everything, dish clothes, chopping board, washing up liquid etc, etc!! We are already planning our next adventure. Thanks!

We would like to give a big thank you to Kath and the team at KG. As a family of 4, with 2 young children, I was a little nervous about hiring a camper van for a 4 day excursion to the coast, but this was soon put to rest once I experienced the care to detail that Kath and the team put into the van and the hire process. Kath and Kevin talked me through what I needed to know before I took the van. Everything you need is supplied including road side assistance. We all had a great holiday and thought the van was fantastic. Kath should take great pride in her vans and and her service. Great friendly business. Highly recommended.

Would just like to comment how much we enjoyed out first time away in a campervan (we took Gordon). We’ve previously taken Caravan’s and Motorhomes and were unsure if a Campervan would tick all the boxes. It certainly did. Myself, wife and son had a fantastic time touring Cornwall and Devon. We found the van more than spacious and the inflatable awning really easy and quick to erect. We were able to camp and decamp quickly, so stayed at numerous sites through the week. The van was easy to drive and really just like driving any car. We were really happy with the interior spec, which was immaculate and comfortable. Whilst away, we enjoyed cooking in the van, which was well equipped. Even though everything was straightforward, Kath and Kevin took time to go through all aspects of the Campervan before we left. So I couldn’t really recommend it highly enough. All the family had a great holiday and we all said how long it felt we had been away; I think due to all the places we were able to visit. Far more mobile and enjoyable than either a Motorhome or Caravan, I certainly wouldn’t have taken either down the lanes in Cornwall we took Gordon. To be recommended and we will certainly be hiring again.

Just wanted to say a big thank you for the hire of a camper van over the weekend of the 30th July to 3rd August. We travelled to Kendal Calling in it, a music festival held (unsuprisingly!) up near Kendal! The good old British Summer weather didn't let us down, so we had four seasons in a day, every day! Therefore, it was great to have a lovely warm and dry van to have as our 'home' for the weekend, and to retire to at the end of a long, wet and muddy day. The van was extremely well equipped and spotlessly clean, with a good sized sleeping area (which was dead easy to put up/take down) and plenty of headroom when the top was up. The awning you supplied with it was an absolute blessing, particularly with the weather being as it was. It was extremely easy to assemble, even for a novice like me, and it was lovely to have a dry and clean area right at the side of the van where you could get the boots off and de-robe from your outer layers before slipping into the comfort and warmth of the van. We would have absolutely no hesitation in hiring another van from you in the future or to recommend you to anyone in need of such a vehicle.
Thanks once again, and keep up the great work!!

This was our first camper van holiday but definitely wont be our last! It took about a day to get used to the scale of the camper van and how to do cooking, etc, efficiently and make best use of storage but after this me and the family found the van to be a fantastic holiday base where we could sleep, rest, cook and chat. Weather was a bit iffy so was great to have a warm dry place to go back to whenever we needed. Beds were good and comfy too so all round much better than a tent and much more convenient than caravan. Was amazingly clean when we picked it up and very well equipped, drives great too with powerful engine, comfortable seats and good radio. K G were very helpful throughout the process of hiring the van and there was absolutely no hassle or catches, would highly recommend!!
Margaret and family, Barnsley, July 2015
I certainly would (and have already) recommended your company to friends and colleagues. The van was ideal for purpose and the best equipped ‘rental home’ I have ever used. It lacked nothing in terms of food preparation, cooking and cleaning facilities, even had bottle opener, dish cloths etc and a very large salad bowl. It was clean and tidy when we picked it up and once I got the hang of storage found there was more than I realised. Staff and mechanics at KG were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble – they explained everything before I set off and provided a comprehensive hand book, maps and visitor guides for our use. Thank you for ensuring our holiday was a wonderful experience – which I am sure we will be trying again.

We'd just like to say a big thank you for helping to make our (first) visit to Glastonbury so enjoyable. 'Gordon' performed brilliantly, never missed a beat, and housed all the equipment anyone would need. He was clean, comfortable and easy to drive. Service, from ordering and collection through to delivery, was excellent and we would highly recommend KG to our friends. I think the missus may now have the Camper Van 'bug', and with KG being right on our doorstep, we may well be using your services again soon. Thanks again and kind regards.

Just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our few days in the Campervan. It had everything we needed and was easy to drive, park in towns and set up for the night. It was great that we were able to take the dog and I think he enjoyed his holiday as well! It has encouraged us to think of traveling further afield with him and I would certainly consider using a campervan again.

We hired the camper at short notice for the Whitby Goth Weekend.

Brilliant friendly service from the start. Kath spent time ensuring I understood how everything worked before I drove away. The camper was spotlessly clean and brilliantly equipped with everything you'd need (including a pot of salt - essential for post hangover fried egg sandwiches!). The camper was easy to drive and so cosy at night time . With 2 adults and a young one on board (sleeping in the pop-top) there was still plenty of room. Kate and myself will definitely be coming back to you again!!

Just wanted to say a big thank you to you for helping to make our bank holiday weekend a good one! This was the first time we'd ever experienced a campervan but our concerns over driving it and it being a little cramped we completely unfounded. The van was a pleasure to drive and we had no problems with any hill and parked in standard parking spaces with no problem. The drive away awning doubled the space and being inflatable, was so easy to put up and take down. Our 12 year old Son loved it too! He slept in the roof area and said it was like having a den! You provided us with everything that we needed for the weekend from cutlery and crockery to washing up liquid! Thanks for that! We are planning to hire it again if it's available, actually, we can't wait!
